Winter 2021: Vans for the Family

 

For this organic Instagram Story, I worked with brand-provided images from Vans to create an animated, hand-lettered narrative highlighting the collection as “for the entire family.”

This campaign also featured one of DSW’s first Afterpay mentions on social—back when the payment option was just starting to gain traction in the U.S.—making it one of the earliest Afterpay social assets from a major retailer. The goal was to blend the lifestyle imagery with playful motion and hand-lettering that felt true to both the Vans and DSW brand voices.

How I’d refine this today: I’d explore incorporating more dynamic animation transitions and integrating Afterpay into the narrative in a way that feels more native to the creative rather than a last-minute add-on.
