Holiday 2020
During the 2020 holiday season, I was designing email and web assets in addition to my day-to-day work as a Social Media Designer—giving me the chance to create a more consistent visual style across all customer-facing channels.
I designed the entire holiday offer lock-up, starting with a seasonal refresh of the brand’s existing “Deals of the Day” treatment. This evolved into multiple variations: “Deals of the Holiday,” “Deals of Cyber Monday,” and an animation transforming the Cyber Monday lock-up into “Cyber Tuesday” for a surprise offer extension. I also contributed supporting hand-lettering and illustrations on an asset-by-asset basis throughout the season.
One of my favorite assets I created was a zodiac-themed illustration for organic social, created in collaboration with our strategy team, that tied astrology to gifting in a playful, seasonal way.
How I’d refine this today: I’d choose a different hand-lettering style—or even a typeface—as the original lettering now feels a little juvenile to me.
