Superbowl Series

For the 2023 Super Bowl, I was tasked with creating a series of assets to get followers ready to host their game day parties—while navigating the challenge of not being able to show any NFL teams or logos due to copyright restrictions.

The first assignment was an Idea Pin focused on food items. I didn’t just want to say “Here’s food, we sell it.” I developed a concept that spoke to three different football party personas and how a host could prepare for each type of guest.

The second assignment was a TikTok and Instagram Reel featuring a trending product: a blow-up snack stadium. I needed to spotlight the product while also subtly featuring Lays and Pepsi, which were required partner inclusions. To add storytelling and a human element, I had the talent shoot a “field goal” with a chip through the stadium uprights and into their mouth. I also came up with the Dorito-as-finger-football gag—because it’s the perfect shape—and added a slow-motion replay moment to mimic an actual game highlight.

In post-production, I solved a tricky animation challenge on the opening and closing frames—keeping the on-screen copy visible without covering the food-grabbing actions, since the movement and human interaction were key. I added a stadium-announcer-style voiceover to enhance the game-day atmosphere, and structured the edit to open with a full snack spread and close with the aftermath—an idea inspired by my friend Lulu’s IRL “before and after” plate series.

I supported the styling and art direction by selecting products, providing layout guidance, and handling all post-production including editing and animation.
