KB&AP Wedding

My sister and her wife were married on June 19, 2022, and I had the privilege of creating their wedding theme and décor. For all intents and purposes, it was an exercise in branding. I began with a mood board and color palette that captured both their personalities and the tone of the event—just as I would for a brand client.

From there, I designed a custom monogram logo, an invitation suite with hand-lettered touches, and a fully custom wedding website. I handled the site mapping and full design including custom CSS, as well as creating a separate UI optimized for mobile.

These foundational materials informed every wedding-day detail: a welcome sign, seating chart, hand-lettered place cards, and dinner and drink menus. The venue—the historic Chicago Firehouse—inspired a 1920s Chicago and Art Deco aesthetic, brought to life through fine geometric line work, detailed ornamentation, and a type pairing that felt both vintage and modern—a perfect fit for the couple.
