Family Feud Game
Of all the people I’ve worked with, Steve Harvey is my favorite name to drop.
In October 2022, we were briefed to create several launch assets for the new and exclusive Family Feud board game. At the time, this ‘pass the ___’ movement was trending on TikTok, and since the item was an exclusive, we developed a concept that included in-store associates passing the game around the store and onto the shelves.
When Steve Harvey himself agreed to participate by being the first to ‘pass’ the game from the actual set of Family Feud to our stores, we were thrilled. However, he is an extremely busy man, so we only received one shot of the action. I was challenged to make that one shot work, and I feel I did! (Also, Steve commented on the post. Does it get any cooler than that?)
We also were given permission to use screen captures from a collection of episodes of Family Feud provided by the team, so you know we had to create some Steve Harvey memes! For Twitter, I created a ‘galaxy brain’ meme (an always-on social media meme) showcasing some of the most popular Steve Harvey moments from show aligning with the existing ‘galaxy brain’ meme format. And yes, I had to find and purchase all four of those stock images for commercial use. It was oddly exciting when I found the actual images from the original meme available for licensing.
