Book Lovers Day

 

When I was briefed for National Book Lovers Day in August 2022, I was thrilled—because I am, in fact, a Certified Book Lover™. From the start, I knew I wanted to pair different genres with different drinks to enjoy while reading.

I styled, directed, shot, and edited a TikTok and Instagram Reel, and even got to select which books to recommend for each genre. We aimed for a soft, romantic BookTok vibe—pairing gentle, atmospheric music with TikTok’s then-trending AI voiceover for a mix of cozy and current. Strategically, we were tapping into the newly emerging BookTok moment to connect with an audience where the trend was just starting to gain traction.

How I’d refine this today: I’d swap the automated AI voice for an ASMR-style voiceover to create a warmer, more intimate connection with viewers.
