DIY Ornaments

Holiday craft trends always take over TikTok in December, and 2023 was no exception. Flocked, glittered, and iridescent ornaments were all over the For You page — and my original concept was to show all three styles in a single tutorial.

I styled, shot, and edited tutorials for each, but in post-production it was clear: the iridescent ornaments stole the show. Their shine and movement popped on camera in a way the others couldn’t match. I brought two versions of the asset to leadership — the full trio and the iridescent-only edit — and the team agreed the latter had the strongest visual impact.

The final post outperformed benchmarks, delivered a festive boost to our holiday content, and left my own tree decorated with a fresh batch of DIY sparkle.
