London Moments

My aim in this campaign for the Mayor of London is to remind Londoners of that ‘London feeling’ that everyone who comes to this great city experiences. From late nights in Shoreditch to early mornings at the market, Londoners and tourists alike will be reminded to celebrate these small moments. It is designed to engage the audience through Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag or account @LondonIsOpen where they can submit their own London Moments. The campaign includes examples of submissions I received from other students at Chelsea College of Arts.

In spring of 2018, our class was given the exciting opportunity to compete for an ad campaign run by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. The goal of the campaign was to bring tourists into London and to remind Londoners of all the reasons we love our city.

I chose to request submissions from my fellow students—some of which were born and raised in London and some of which, like me, were from all over the world. We all chose to live in and love the city, and I wanted input from all kinds of people, not just my own.

My concept, if selected, would not only utilize images from real Londoners to create the ads, but would be written in their hand as well.
