In early spring 2023, I was getting ready for the first summer in my first home and was brainstorming all the ways to get my deck ready for hosting friends and family. Number one on my list was more seating, and number two was making the space more functional. My parents have a huge outdoor chest where they store their outdoor cushions, and we use it as additional seating. A lightbulb went off in my head that this was the perfect solution to my needs, but I wanted to add a removable cushion to make it more comfortable and cute. A second lightbulb went off: this DIY would make great content. Luckily, my directors agreed.

I concepted, styled, directed, shot, and edited an Idea Pin showing a step-by-step tutorial on creating a perfect cozy storage bench just in time for hosting summer get-togethers (and it’s everything I wanted and needed!)
